These Terms & Conditions govern your use of our website, your purchases from us, and your interaction with our services.

By accessing our website or placing an order, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use our website.

CEENE Ltd. (“CEENE”, “we”, “our”, “us”) is a New Zealand–registered business providing candles and home styling products.

All pricing and transactions on our website are in New Zealand Dollars (NZD).

CHANGES TO THESE TERMS

We may update these Terms at any time.
Updates will be posted on our website with a revised date.

GOVERNING LAW

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of New Zealand.
Any disputes will be resolved in New Zealand courts.

To place an order with CEENE, you must:

• Provide accurate and complete information
• Be authorised to use the payment method you provide

We reserve the right to refuse service or orders at our discretion.

We aim to keep product descriptions, images, and information accurate. However:

• Colours may appear differently on screens
• Because our candles are individually hand-poured, slight variations and cosmetic imperfections are normal and part of their character
• Product details may change without notice
• Stock may be limited or delayed

If an item becomes unavailable after purchase, we will contact you to arrange a refund or alternative.

PRICING 

All prices are in NZD and include GST unless otherwise stated.

PAYMENT METHODS

We accept:

• Credit/debit cards
• Other methods are shown at checkout

Orders must be paid in full before dispatch.

PRICING ERRORS

If an error occurs, we may cancel the order or ask you to pay the correct amount.

TIMEFRAMES

Processing and delivery times at checkout are estimates only.

DELAYS

CEENE is not liable for delays caused by:

• Couriers
• Weather
• Incorrect addresses

ADDRESS ACCURACY

You are responsible for providing the correct delivery address. Orders sent to incorrect addresses cannot be refunded.

CHANGE OF MIND

We may offer returns at our discretion. Items must be:

• Unused
• Undamaged
• In original packaging

Return shipping for change-of-mind returns is your responsibility.

FAULTY OR DAMAGED ITEMS

Contact us within 7 days with photos.
If approved, we may provide:

• A replacement
• A refund
• Store credit

INCORRECT ITEMS

If you receive the wrong item, we will replace it at no cost.

NON-RETURNABLE ITEMS

We cannot accept returns on:

• Used products
• Items damaged through misuse

These rights are in addition to your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 (CGA).

CONSUMER RIGHTS (NEW ZEALAND LAW)

Nothing in these Terms affects your rights under:

• The Consumer Guarantees Act 1993
• The Fair Trading Act 1986

If purchasing for business purposes, you agree that the CGA does not apply.

You must not:

• Engage in unlawful, fraudulent, or disruptive activity
• Interfere with website security or functionality
• Copy or distribute content without permission

We may restrict access for breach of these terms.

All website content, including images, branding, text, designs, and product descriptions, is owned or licensed by CEENE.

You may not use our intellectual property without written consent.

To the maximum extent permitted by NZ law, CEENE is not liable for:

• Indirect or consequential loss
• Loss of profits or data
• Damage caused by courier delays
• Damage resulting from the misuse of products (including candles)

Our total liability will not exceed the amount paid for the relevant product.

Your personal information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

• Discount codes may not be combined unless stated
• Gift cards are non-refundable
• Promotional codes may be withdrawn at any time
• Expiry dates apply unless stated otherwise

By purchasing CEENE candles, you agree to follow all safety guidelines.

GENERAL USE

• Never leave a burning candle unattended
• Keep candles away from children and pets
• Burn candles on a stable, heat-resistant surface
• Keep candles at least 10cm apart

BURNING INSTRUCTIONS

• Trim the wick to 5mm before each use
• Allow the wax to melt to the edges on the first burn
• Do not burn for more than 3-4 hours at a time
• Keep the wax pool free of debris

PLACEMENT AND ENVIRONMENT

• Keep candles away from drafts, fans, and airflow
• Do not place candles near flammable materials
• Do not move candles while lit or when the wax is hot

EXTINGUISHING

• Use a snuffer or dip the wick into melted wax
• Do not use water to extinguish

CONTAINER SAFETY

• Stop burning when 10mm of wax remains
• Discontinue use if the container cracks or becomes damaged

STORAGE

• Store candles in a cool, dry place away from sunlight

RISK AND LIABILITY

Failure to follow these safety guidelines may result in fire, injury, or damage. CEENE is not liable for damage arising from misuse or failure to follow these instructions.
